The Demon’s Feast

In a forgotten corner of the world, where shadows dance and whispers linger, there existed a sinister pact.

Demons, ancient and hungry, roamed the earth, seeking to quench their insatiable thirst for life.

But their sustenance was not found in the blood of the wicked, oh no.

These demons craved the purest of hearts—the hearts of kind and virtuous souls.

It was said that when a demon devoured the heart of such a person, they would be rejuvenated, their powers growing stronger with each beat.

And so, the demons prowled the darkness, searching for their next meal.

Among the villagers, fear spread like wildfire as disappearances became more frequent.

No one dared to venture out alone at night, for the darkness held unseen horrors.

But one fateful night, a young woman named Elara stumbled upon the demons’ lair. With a heart full of compassion, she sought to help those in need, unaware of the danger that lurked in the shadows.

As she wandered deeper into the darkness, Elara came face to face with the demons, their eyes gleaming with hunger.

With a wicked grin, they pounced, tearing into her chest and feasting on her beating heart.

But as the demons savored their meal, something unexpected happened. Elara’s pure heart shone with a blinding light, engulfing the demons in flames.

With a deafening roar, they vanished into the darkness, their hunger left unfulfilled.

From that day forward, the villagers spoke of Elara as a hero, her sacrifice saving them from the demons’ grasp.

But in the silence of the night, they still whispered of the horrors that lurked in the shadows, knowing that kindness could be a deadly gift.
